Baby Schueler

It's been quite a long time since I posted anything, and I thought the perfect way to jump back in was with the biggest news in our lives right now.   I found out July 4th that I am pregnant! Due March 4th, 2012, just two days before our third anniversary. What a gift!

The longest 30 seconds of my life....and then the weirdest feeling when I saw those words.

5 weeks

12 weeks (3 months)

27 weeks TODAY

The process of growing a belly seemed painfully slow, I felt like it would be more real if I could see it.  Well, now I can see it! :)

I feel very fortunate for my 'easy' pregnancy thus far.  Food only tasted bland in the first trimester,  a slight increase in fatigue, minor lower back/sciatic pain, and very mild heartburn. I'm thinking I got off easy!!! I LOVE being pregnant. Absolutely love it.  The best part is feeling him/her move, and watching my belly bounce.

My parents are pretty excited, it is their first grandchild! Bill's parents also share in the excitement, seeing as this makes an even dozen for them. Plus it's their baby having a baby, that's a pretty big milestone!

I plan on working until the end of February, and then saying goodbye to my great co-workers and patients, and saying hello to being a stay-at-home mother. It'll be more work than I've ever known!! But I'm told it'll be worth it :)

We can't wait to meet this lil' one!

Wyn Aubrey and Myles

My high school friend Jandi and her husband Kenny have been living in Walla Walla for the past couple of years. They have two beautiful children, Myles (2 1/2) and Wyn (6 mo).  I hadn't had the chance to visit them yet and was making plans to go to Walla Walla convention in June and spend some time with them.  However Kenny just got a job in Nevada and they are leaving soon. So they took a quick trip back to Oregon to see family before their adventure.  I was fortunate enough to see them, it was great! Catching up with Jandi, trying one of Kenny's famous cakes, and meeting the kids.  Myles did everything he could not to smile at me or even make eye contact, it was pretty funny.  Wyn however was completely opposite and smiled a huge smile and stared at me with her BEAUTIFUL blue eyes.  She loved smiling for the camera, isn't she precious??

Gotta love the Ludwigs! Best wishes on this new step in life! Nevada's lucky to get you. :)

Ole John

We have a new young couple in our area that we've taken a liking to.  David and Audrin Gibler moved up from Corvallis a couple of months ago, and we already love having them in the area.  They have little Ole John who is six months and a real flirt! As you can see from these pictures, he is a ham!

Mexico in March

Well Bill an I went to Mexico over a month ago now, and I still haven't written about it!  We met up with our dear friends Brian and Hilary Miller, and Scott and Dori Miller.  Hilary and I have been dreaming of going on vacation together since we met 16 years ago, so it was about time!

Cruise ships would come close and anchor down, they were HUGE.

First thing our first morning was to hop the bus and ride down to Wal-Mart.

Brian and Hilary had already been there for a week so this was their third trip to the store, which worked for us because they were great tour guides.

In the bakery section everything was set out and you grab a tray and tongs and away you go! I loved it. The little rolls you see on my platter were cheese/ham roll ups that were to DIE FOR!

THERE WAS SO MUCH GUACAMOLE!!!! 

We spent 80% of our time by the pool, no regret there!

Bill and Brian were quick to show off their hand-stand moves, Hilary was enthusiastic about it but her execution wasn't quite as graceful.  Nice try Lary!!

On the day of the Japanese earthquake we weren't sure what would be happening on our coast so we decided to go to a sister hotel that was WAY up on the side of a hill.  They had a beautiful sky/eternity pool.

They were entertaining Hilary and I during one of our game nights.

Besides the pool, beach volleyball was our other favorite past-time. Nothing like bottoms full of sand to really make a game fun!

We enjoyed quite a few meals at this great reastuarant a short walk from the resort.  Brian was very helpful with his Spanish.  We felt quite safe wandering around, and the food was deLISH!

Can't leave without one fancy dinner...

On our way out we saw this arrive, I'm sure these folks were going to have a GREAT time!

We had a wonderful time, so thankful for our wonderful friends who shared a great experience with us.  Plenty of laughter, sunshine, relaxation, and pina coladas :)
